Though born in Manhattan and raised mostly in Connecticut, Angela considers herself a native of New Hampshire. She recently graduated summa cum laude with Honors from Plymouth State University, where she was a consistent recipient of the TOPS Scholarship, the Governor's Success Grant, the Department of Music, Theater and Dance Talent Grant, and was awarded the Ruth Metcalf Theater Scholarship. She now holds a B.A. in Theater Arts with an Acting Option. At PSU, she studied Acting and Voice & Diction with professor Elizabeth Cox, more Acting and Oral Interpretation with Dr. Paul Mroczka, stage movement with Lisa Travis, stage combat (unarmed and single sword) with Kevin Asselin, Greek theater performance and movement technique with Pontine Theater, and physical mask work with C. Robin Marcotte.
During college she discovered a love for the Bard (and his works), and the freedom and versatility of cutting off seventeen inches of her hair. Some of her favorite university performances involved playing as many as eight characters at once (some of them men), a slew of hysterically rapid costume changes (some of them soaking wet) and a delightful cornucopia of wigs. Performing Shakespeare in an outdoor amphitheater, however, has been the blissful and unrivaled highlight of the past three summers.
Angela is currently seeking work in the Boston area, but she owns a tent and therefore is available for casting almost anywhere.
